Mr. Jacobson is an associate who is active in all areas of Melvin & Melvin’s litigation practice. He regularly represents businesses in commercial, employment and personal injury actions in state and federal courts. His practice also includes the representation of employers and employees in matters before the New York State Division of Human Rights from their inception through trial, if necessary. In addition to his litigation experience, Mr. Jacobson has counseled employers regarding workplace issues such as compliance with state and federal laws like FMLA, ADA, and OSHA, discrimination and retaliation complaints, and the drafting of employment or separation agreements.

Mr. Jacobson previously worked with a Syracuse firm specializing in medical malpractice and personal injury actions. While at the Syracuse University College of Law, he interned as a law clerk in the chambers of the Hon. David N. Hurd, a United States District Court Judge for the Northern District of New York. During law school, Mr. Jacobson was also employed by the Madison County Attorney and by a local attorney engaged in general practice.
